The WC Ball 2026 – Adidas Palla di Futuro
The official match ball of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico is called Palla di Futuro – Italian for “Ball of the Future”. Adidas officially unveiled it in February 2025.
Design & Technology
The Palla di Futuro uses the proven Connected Ball Technology system: a sensor integrated inside the ball sends real-time data to match officials – including for precise offside and goal-line detection. The design revisits classic black-and-white elements of the Telstar and combines them with modern geometric patterns in the colours of the three host nations.
Technically it is based on the CRT-Core (Continuous Recycled Technology), a recycled latex core, and a thermally bonded 20-panel construction – similar to the Al Rihla (2022) and Oceaunz (Women's WC 2023). The surface is textured to improve control and flight stability.
Name & Meaning
Palla di Futuro represents a look forward: WC 2026 is the first with 48 teams and three host nations – a new chapter in World Cup history. The name is intended to reflect this historic dimension of the tournament.
