The 2026 World Cup ball – adidas TRIONDA
The official match ball of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico is called TRIONDA. adidas and FIFA unveiled it in New York on 2 October 2025.
Design & Technology
TRIONDA's look is all about the three hosts: red, green and blue stand for Canada, Mexico and the USA, while gold details recall the World Cup trophy. The ball carries the US star, Canada's maple leaf and Mexico's eagle, and the colours meet in a triangle at its centre.
The ball is built from four panels with deep seams and debossed lines that stabilise its flight, and the surface keeps its grip in wet conditions. For the first time the adidas Connected Ball Technology sensor sits at the side of the ball: the 500 Hz motion sensor sends real-time data to the video assistant referee and helps with offside and handball decisions.
Name & Meaning
The name combines the Spanish words Tri (three) and Onda (wave): three host nations and the wave design that runs across the whole ball.
