The 2030 FIFA World Cup is a centenary tournament: 100 years after the first World Cup in Uruguay, it will be played on three continents for the first time. The main hosts are Spain, Portugal and Morocco. It opens with three centenary matches in Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay – one of them at the Estadio Centenario in Montevideo, where the first World Cup final was played in 1930.
